New things since last update

Here are some of the new things since the last news update two months ago.

* Full support for songs that has lyrics from foreign languages. (Example: http://www.lololyrics.com/lyrics/7996.html - Japanese</a>)

* Remade the chat. No more flickering or having hard time copying stuff due to all the messages refreshing.

* Click on a foreign line of lyric that you can't understand it will show you it translated to English. (Example: http://www.lololyrics.com/lyrics/1929.html - French</a>)

* The top10 now shows if a song is gaining or dropping in popularity since yesterday.

What do you think about a favicon for the site?
I have lotsa bookmarks, and this site is one of 3 or 4 which hasn't got one. You could leave the work to the users, they draw some images, you choose and then apply it.

Added it EmpiresEmpires :) Shows up just below the name of the submitter.
(Small note: The first 138 lyrics won't show any date as we have no such info on them)

Maybe it would be helpful if you know the date when a lyric was added.

I was just finishing the 2nd point. If desired users can allow notifications or something when their help is requested. A lot of people don't stop by that often, but if they got an email or something when they next logged in saying their help is desired, that can encourage some more participation and help resolve some foreign lyrics.

Foreign lyrics arn't all that common, but just a thought.

Oops, increased the text limit. (Not sure why I kept it so low in the news comments.)
I added it to the to-do list along with letting the user know when he types a message that is too long. :)

Did you have any more suggestions mike? Since the text got cut just at the beginning of that new sentence. :dunno:

The news items don't really stick out, I only notice if I see the chat at the time. Maybe a panel on the side for "latest news", and/or make the news section have a larger font for the title, or a larger text area.

For user profiles, maybe add a way for users to list what languages they know/recognize? To make it easier to to find users who might know the lyrics of certain difficult tracks. Later this might be able to be a notification thing, if someone asks for ex: "Japanese help on track #34". A
