So the crowds (I'm not sure about that one. "crowd's" wouldn't make too much sense, as it would mean "crowd is". The past progressive would be much more suitable here IMHO, but I don't think that you can write "crowd was" as "crowd's") moving to warehouses giving birth to the raves
